Lovely and well-appointed little studio.

Unpleasant and inaccurate!

Staying at the guesthouse was an unpleasant experience as we felt unwelcome throughout our stay. We chose this guesthouse because it advertised that kids of all ages were welcome and that there was a swimming pool. When we arrived, we asked the housekeeper if the kids could use the trampoline and walk in the garden, to which she said yes. They wanted to swim, but the swimming pool was extremely dirty and we were not allowed to use it. We were also informed that we couldn't braai as it hadn't been cleaned yet, but we still went ahead and braaied. The next morning, we received a message from the owner asking us to respect his and his teenagers" privacy and stating that we were not allowed in the garden due to a no U12 child policy. We chose this accommodation because it had some open space for the kids and a swimming pool, and it was stated that all ages were welcome. We were really looking forward to braaing as the weather was perfect, but instead, we had to eat out so that the kids wouldn't disturb the owner's kids. We ended up spending more money on eating out. It was disheartening to be met with indifference, and it made me regret choosing this guesthouse for my stay. I will definitely not recommend this accommodation. They should rather fix the wooden stairs, as my husband nearly fell off, and clean their braai and swimming pool.

I am sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay at Rose Cottage. Please note that I have double checked and the fact that there is a pool is not ticked as an amenity on this property. I don't know why you thought it was advertised. We specifically don't advertise it as part of the guest house rental. We also discourage children under the age of 12 because it is unfenced.
We must also note that we request quiet hours between 11pm and 8am because there are multiple units on the property and neighbors that we must consider.
