San Lameer Villa 3005

Feel right at home in this beautiful villa in San Lameer.

Apart from the fact that it rained almost all the time, our stay was wonderful. The layout of the house worked perfectly with the rooms on different levels, which allowed my parents to be a little out of the way of the teenagers who stayed on the lowest level. The house is very well equipped and it was just a pleasure. It was my first time at San Lameer and I enjoyed so much everything they have to offer. You really don't have to drive anywhere while you stay there. Our house was serviced every day and everything was spotless. Everyone I dealt with was so friendly and helpful. One or two recommendations: I asked about loadshedding, if there is anything that can help with that and the feedback from you guys was that there is nothing. So, there is a gas stove on which you can cook (we took ours with us for free) and they also have one battery light in the cupboard, which might help in the future if someone asks. The two fridges helped a lot, but the freezer space was quite small for the size of the house, especially if you bring a lot of meat and frozen things with you from home. Because it is a busy season, all the golf carts were already rented out when we got there, so maybe you could just make a recommendation that people book ahead of time in high season? The one bedroom with the two single beds has a dressing table, but no chair. It was quite difficult to have to crouch every time to get to the mirror. And there is also only one power plug which is very far from the mirror. Both rooms with the two single beds each have only one bedside light to share between two beds. Another light would be handy. Wifi would have been nice. Another thing, the description could have included that the house is on levels, you can't really tell from the photos. And then, the main bedroom with the bath and shower, only has a double bed, not a king-size as indicated on the website. The location on the map is also completely wrong. The unit is located much closer to the beach than indicated on the map. You have 3007's location right, 3005 is just next door. I'm just giving the feedback because it might help. But I was 10/10 satisfied with our villa.

Cracked geyser.

Just about 2 hours before our arrival we were called to let them know there was a problem with unit 3005 (Please note that we all drove from Pretoria and the Eastern Cape to come.). The lady then promised to upgrade us to a 'superior' unit, upon arrival my father was not satisfied with the 'superior' unit because it is an apartment type unit where we actually have a land unit which is more detached if that booked as well as the unit was smaller. The lady then accommodated us after long discussions with unit 14107 which was much better. There were problems with the gas grill, and they couldn't find parts. San Lameer is a very nice place, the accommodation and shuffling around for the fees per night was a bit of a problem. My sister and husband went to look at Villa 3005 and from the outside the place was not clean and the sofas were wet due to the 'geyser' that had burst according to the lady at reception. One understands that sometimes such things happen, but all that we have requested if one is moved will be done fairly and to the same type of unity as one discussed. We were my father (from London) and my sister, her husband and then our family of 4 (including 2 children).
