Shonalanga, meaning 'The setting sun', is a delightful holiday home located directly above the beloved Grotto Beach in Hermanus. With a stunning view of the beach and beyond, it offers a serene retreat. Guests can enjoy a short walk through the enchanting milkwood forest to reach the beach.

This self-catering home has a sleeping capacity of 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, and boasts a view of the trees and fynbos beyond. It has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, basin, and toilet. It opens up to a private patio, the ideal spot to enjoy a morning coffee. The second bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, while the third bedroom has 2 single beds. They share the use of a bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, basin, and a separate toilet. Linen and towels are provided.

The kitchen is well-equipped with a fridge-freezer, a gas stove, oven, microwave, basic cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities, and additionally, there’s a washing machine, and dishwasher for guests’ convenience. The lounge has comfy couches and a smart TV with a full selection of DStv channels, and uncapped Wi-Fi. There’s also a cosy fireplace for the winter months. The house also has a strong inverter which will kick in during any power outages.

Guests can meander down the decked walkway to the expansive back garden, a haven where birds abound. The ample space is perfect for children to play, and there is a covered braai area with seating space. There is off-road parking available in the front.
