Description

Shumbalala Game Lodge offers exclusive all-inclusive accommodation, and is located on the banks of the Monwana River, situated approximately 40 km from Hoedspruit. The lodge is an unexpected oasis of luxury and comfort in the unforgiving heat of the African bushveld.

Accommodation at Shumbalala Game Lodge comprises 4 Superior Suites and 1 Presidential Suite. The spacious private suites each comprise 1 bedroom and lounge area, an en-suite bathroom, large glass sliding doors and private viewing decks with a view over the ever active water hole located near the lodge. Each suite boasts thatched roofs and contains air-conditioning, mosquito netting, a safe to store valuables, a mini-bar fridge, tea- and coffee-making facilities, as well as other luxuries for comfort.

Breakfast and other delectable meals are included and served in the main dining area. In addition, the lodge boasts a guest lounge with a large fireplace, a well-stocked bar, and a boma firepit area.

Two game drives are conducted at the best suited times of the day to maximize the number of sightings. An early morning game drive will start directly after morning coffee; the excitement and rush of the adventure is interrupted by a stopover in the open bush for tea or coffee with a light snack - often with a view over a nearby game. The adventure continues and you return back to camp at around 9:30 am to freshen up before brunch.

Following afternoon high tea, the afternoon game drives start at approximately 16h00- and half an hour earlier in the winter and continue into the night; interrupted by a stop-over in the bush for sundowners, while watching the splendour of the African sun setting over the mountains.
