The Barn is 'n pragtige, skoon en gerieflike gastehuis. Anthea het seker gemaak ons het alles wat ons nodig het vir die naweek. Sy was altyd vriendelik en behulpsaam. Ons sal beslis weer daar gaan kuier. Anthea, baie dankie!

Modern, spacious, warm place to stay.

Gorgeous and spacious accommodation with lovely views from the verandah and bedroom. Has everything u need. Central location within walking distance of the main town. Anthea was very accommodating and helpful. The only thing was the couches in the lounge are grubby and in need of a good cleaning but we just put a blanket over them. But in no way affected our stay. The Barn will definitely be our go-to place when visiting this area.

Anthea was an excellent host. The unit has beautiful, elegant finishes and all you need to be comfortable and relaxed. The freshly made muffins and scones were absolutely delicious - thoroughly enjoyed with a freshly brewed cup of coffee made with the lovely blend supplied by the host.

Roan and I loved our stay. The host was super friendly and accommodating. The Barn is furnished beautifully, the ambiance allows a romantic setting. The garden and views are beautiful and there is access to many restaurants and MTB trails. Absolutely loved our stay and the freshly baked muffins were super yummy.

Netjies, skoon en stylvol.

Oorgeslaap op pad na Ballito van Gauteng. Rustige area in Hilton, boomryk en groen. Stylvol afgerond en gemeubileer. Aparte kombuis met yskas en stoof, groot slaapkamer en, baie belangrik, 'n groot instapstort. Ons het die oornag geniet.

Baie lekker gebly!

Baie netjiese plek met vriendelike gasvrou. Het wel gedink die eenheid is op grondvlak en nie op die 2de vloer nie. Sal nietemin enige tyd weer daar bly!

Comfortable, home-away-from-home.

A well equipped two bedroom upstairs apartment with nice views over the KZN hills. Close to all amenities in the Hilton village and Midlands Meander. Although it snowed (and was freezing) the owners provided wood for the fireplace, and the freshly baked muffins in the morning were a special touch.

I’m not sure if I misread the write up and pictures of the place but the two bedroom apartment is upstairs (which is not child-friendly) and it was a shared bathroom between 4 adults.

Ons het ons naweek by The Barn so geniet! So 'n rustige en private plekkie en so pragtig en kreatief ingerig. Anthea en Nog is die vriendelikheid vanself. Ons het verwelkomings brownies gekry en vars gebakte muffins elke oggend wat ongelooflik lekker was! Ek sal The Barn enige tyd aanbeveel en sal beslis self weer soontoe gaan!

Sal weer besoek.

The Barn was perfek vir my en my verloofde. Ons het gekies om hier te bly weens die ligging. Dit is 'n puik bestemming vir bergfiets ry. Ons was 'n dag Umhlanga toe en kon maklik Nottingham Road ook besoek. Ek sal The Barn aanbeveel vir enigiemand. Die gasvrou was ongelooflik vriendelik en haar huishulp was puik! Nota: Daar is nou ook in ingeboude braai wat nie op die foto's wys nie.

Anthea and William were wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. The accommodation was tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. Delicious, fresh scones or muffins delivered to our door each morning!

I stayed over in The Fox and Hound unit, 2 bedrooms, for the night before my half marathon which started just up the road. Wow, what an amazing little spot. So comfortable and fully kitted with anything that you might need. Coffee and tea supplied, as well as rusks, milk and freshly baked brownies. Wow! Anthea and William are great hosts, and even allowed me the courtesy of checking out 2 hours later so that I could recover after my run. Highly recommended.

Stayed at the Fox and Hound apartment for 8 nights. Very nice, spacious 2 bedrooms, well appointed kitchen and lounge area with full DStv and WiFi. Serviced daily by extremely professional and unobtrusive staff, spotlessly clean and classy. Great location to shops, restaurants, pubs, etc. On same road as police station and neighbourhood watch so very secure.

Enjoyed our stay at the Barn. Anthea has provided her guests with a very comfortable home, beautifully decorated and with so many special things she has thought about. What a truly lovely place. We felt very welcomed and utterly spoilt! Warm in the winter nights with wood burning fireplace - the wood supplied and we never ran out. Fresh hot muffins in the morning. Really a wonderful stay. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Met aankoms is ons vriendelik gegroet, en vinnig tuis laat voel. Die plek is baie goed toegerus met die nodige. My oudste seun het die WiFi vreeslik waardeer, en alhoewel jy op dieselfde eiendom is, het ons oorgenoeg privaatheid gehad. Ek sal enige tyd weer daar oornag, of selfs bly vir 'n paar dae indien 'n mens die Midlands Meander langer wil ontdek.
