Description
The Bell @ Fernwood is situated at the foothills of the majestic Cathkin Peak in the central Drakensberg, and offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a 3-bedroom chalet. Wild antelope and birds feed on the lawn and can be seen in the early mornings. The Bell is privately situated and no other units are visible from the house.
The chalet can accommodate 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. The first and second bedrooms each contain 2 single beds and the third bedroom contains a queen-size bed. The chalet has 2 bathrooms, a reading room, and a spacious open-plan living area with a kitchen. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering and a daily cleaning service is provided. The open-plan living area leads onto a cosy verandah with lovely views. For those cold winter nights, there is a fireplace in the lounge, underfloor heating in the main bedroom and bathroom, and electric heaters in the other bedrooms.
Fernwood comprises 230 hectares of pristine mountain property, not far from the Ukhahlamba World Heritage Site. Fernwood offers activities and facilities such as, hiking, walking paths, horse riding, a tennis court, a kids playground, a swimming pool, bird watching, and braai facilities. The location in the Champagne Valley provides access to many leisure facilities, restaurants, and shops.
