Description
Situated on a farm 14 km from Modimolle (Nylstroom), The Stables Plaaslewe offers guests a tranquil getaway on a working farm at the foot of the Waterberg.
The Stables comprises 5 renovated horse stables, and can accommodate a group of 10 people. The rooms are furnished with double beds or single beds, and share the use of 2 bathrooms.
The kitchen is equipped with a 2-plate gas stove, a microwave and a fridge, and guests can relax on the undercover stoep. Braai facilities are available in the boma, and firewood is provided. The lapa is serviced daily and firewood is available at an additional cost.
The farmyard is full of life and guests will experience the morning call of a rooster. The 3 dams offers kurpers, black bass and carp for the fishermen on a catch-and-release basis. Birders can view over 200 bird species, including the fish eagle and many waterfowl.
A variety of wild game such as impalas, kudus, zebras, nyala, blesbok, and bush pigs, can be seen and guests may even be treated to the sighting of a stray leopard, and various other smaller animals.
