The Tented River Camp @ Belvidere Country Estate is situated in the pristine Karkloof Valley, nestled on a working farm with lovely views of the Karkloof Reserve and grazing farmland. It is located approximately 24.6 km from the town of Howick, and is ideal for those seeking a tranquil getaway.
The Tented River Camp @ Belvidere Country Estate can comfortably accommodate 8 guests and is ideal for 2 families comprising 4 adults and 4 children. Both bedrooms are furnished with a king-size bed and a bunk bed and share the use of 2 bathrooms. In addition, there’s also a children’s loft playroom. The first bathroom is fitted with a bath, basin, and toilet, while the second one has a shower. Linen and towels are provided.
Guests enter an expansive open-concept living area that features a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, lounge. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. It extends to comfy couches and a cosy fireplace and further opens up to the dining area. There’s also a second lounge area for those wanting a hideout spot.
The porch offers ample seating space and a picturesque riverfront view. Guests can enjoy the amenities of a pizza oven, firepit, luxurious daybed, a private hot tub, and a soothing outdoor sauna in a serene natural setting.
The area is ideal for exploring mountain bike trails, or enjoying a Midlands escape with picturesque mountain views. Guests can fall asleep to the sound of the black-eyed jackal calling in the distance and wake up to the sound of cows mooing peacefully.
