Description
Located in the picturesque Tsitsikamma area of South Africa, the Tsitsikamma Wolf Sanctuary offers a unique off-the-grid living experience where guests can enjoy listening to the nightly howls of the resident wolves. Surrounded by mountains, the Elands River, pine plantations, and indigenous forest, the sanctuary serves as a safe haven for unwanted and abused wolves and wolf dogs.
Guests can choose to stay in rustic wooden cabins or traditional teepees, each accommodating 2 guests. The cabins share a separate bathroom cabin fitted with a bath. Hot water is readily available through a gas geyser. For those staying in the cabins, there is a self-catering bush kitchen, complete with a fridge-freezer, gas stove, and basic cutlery. A communal braai area and fire pit offer a delightful outdoor cooking experience.
The teepees feature rechargeable solar lights inside and outside. A communal bathroom with a shower and toilet is conveniently located at the campsite, along with a shared fire pit, braai area, and bush kitchen equipped with a gas stove.
Included in the rates is a day pass and a guided tour of the sanctuary. Guests can explore the natural wonders of Tsitsikamma, enjoying hiking trails, river activities, and the beauty of indigenous forests in the area.
