Description
Voorbegin Lodge is situated on the banks of the Vaal River, just outside Bothaville in the Free State, offering a haven of peace and breathtaking scenery. The establishment can accommodate either small or large groups, families or couples. It also caters for weddings, birthdays and other festive occasions.
Accommodation comprises 6 Cabins, 6 Ox Wagon Camps, 4 Tented Camps and 1 River House, suited to accommodate up to 54 guests in total. The log cabins are situated next to the dam and comprise 5 family units and 1 honeymoon suite, all fitted with en-suite bathrooms. These units offer breathtaking sunset views and are ideal for nature lovers and bird watchers in particular. All the units include a double bed and bunker beds suited for children in the family units, air-conditioning, a kitchen and a patio braai.
The Tented Camps offer a distinct army atmosphere, great for veterans and the younger generation alike. The units do not include all the basic modern comforts.
The Ox Wagon camp comes equipped with antique furniture and offers a more historical feel. The unit includes comfortable beds, air-conditioning and a kitchen.
The River House is situated on the banks of the river, perfectly suited for fishing enthusiasts. This unit comprises 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which can accommodate up to 8 guests. Other in-room facilities include an equipped kitchen, dining and living room with DStv and air-conditioning.
