Description
Vuurvliegie en Sonbesie is situated in the Marloth Park Conservancy, which borders the Crocodile River and the Southern Kruger National Park.
This open-plan thatched tree house can comfortably accommodate 2 guests. Vuurvliegie has an open-plan layout with a sleeping area, a bathroom, a living area and a kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, small fridge-freezer, gas stove and oven. There is also a large table seating 6 in the kitchen. The bedroom contains a double bed draped with a mosquito net. The bathroom is fitted with a bath, a basin, a toilet, a hairdryer and towels. All linen is provided, although swimming towels for the splash pool are not.
The lounge area is equipped with comfortable couches and a coffee table where guests can enjoy books and magazines. The house has a ceiling fan and air-conditioning that is useful during those hot summer days. The outdoor bathroom is fitted with a shower, a basin and a toilet.
The house also features a wrap-around deck with an outdoor dining set and a comfortable 2-seater bench where guests can enjoy game-watching or just sit and listen to the sounds of the African bush at night.
Sonbesie comes equipped with 2 bedrooms and can accommodate 4 guests. Bedroom 1 features a double bed and bedroom 2 features 2 single beds. The unit has an indoor and outdoor bathroom which comes fitted with a shower, basin and toilet. Other facilities include air-conditioning, a kitchen, a lounge, a dining area and tea- and coffee-making facilities.
Guests can see game such as kudu, impala, wildebeest, ostrich, warthog and giraffe. Guests also have access to a plunge pool and a boma area with a hammock. The boma area is equipped with a fire pit for a braai or for a social fire, please note that a braai grid is provided. Vuurvliegie has a few lanterns that could be lit for a romantic atmosphere.
There is a variety of activities on offer in and around Marloth Park. Plan a day trip to the Kruger National Park, with the Malelane or Crocodile Bridge gates being close by. Have a sundowner or picnic at one of the lookout points along the banks of the Crocodile River or enjoy a round of golf at the course in Komatipoort. There is also a variety of restaurants and eateries in Marloth Park that can be recommended. Boskombuis's milk tart is a must, they are located in Marloth's Bush Centre. For the more adventurous couple, guests can hire a quad bike at the gate or bring along a bicycle and follow the route all along the Crocodile River where loads of surprises await you.
