Description
Welgelegen Cherry Estate offers self-catering accommodation located on a working cherry and apple farm 55 km from Clarens and is ideal for guests wanting a tranquil getaway lying in the picturesque Witteberg mountains and overlooking the Maluti mountains.
The accommodation on offer includes 3 fully self-catering houses, 2 private suites and 18 private chalets. The self-catering houses consist of 2 6-sleeper units and 1 5-sleeper unit but each house comprises 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. These units, as well as some of the chalets, have a lounge with a fireplace and a kitchen that is fully equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery and crockery as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities.
The 2 private suites can each accommodate 2 guests and also has a private bathroom with either a shower or a bath. These units, as well as some of the chalets, have a kitchenette equipped with heat-and-eat facilities. All units have private patios with braai facilities.
Welgelegen Cherry Estate offers a wedding and conference venue that can host events of up to 250 guests and accommodation for 76 guests. There are various activities available on the farm, including hiking trails, catch-and-release trout fly fishing, mountain biking, bird watching and 4x4 routes in the surrounding area.
