Ons was welkom geheet deur Karin, wat 'n persoonlikheid, sommer tuis gevoel van die begin af. Active, love nature & need VIP security.

The Westend really worked for my active family, scenic jogs, walks to the beach, the beach itself fishing & canoeing in the river. The house and area have the best sunsets & sunrises. Bird watchers paradise, blue cranes, fish eagles, cape loeries, sunbirds. The house is well appointed with everything you can possibly need. Then if you have found the Kruger gold store at this place, security is superb. We particularly appreciated that we could take our min pins with. They had the best holiday. The hosts, friends of hosts close by and the helpers were so helpful. Highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic.

A special thanks to our hostess. She went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable. The home is amazing, great decor and completely relaxing in the most beautiful setting. Will definitely go back.

Mixed feelings.

Magnificent house in a spectacular setting. House was fully equipped and comfortable, with beautiful views. Just a pity about the housekeeping. Upswept floors. Dirty, grimy stove, microwave oven and fridge. Dirty bedding and sand in the one bed. Daddy longlegs in the other bed. Spiderwebs on the chairs. Dirty bath. Dusty windowsills. Gecko droppings everywhere. Filthy dishwashing rags and sponge. Braai area not swept. When the toilet paper ran out we asked for more and were told that only 1 roll per bathroom is provided as it is self-catering, and that we need to buy our own toilet paper. Same with the black refuse bags.

I am absolutely horrified by your negative experience at Westend House. Thank you very much for bringing this to my attention privately, as I am based in Cape Town, and we have just gone through a change of house management, due to our regular manageress being unavailable due to Covid fears. As you are aware the tenants downstairs have stepped in to look after things for the moment, but clearly this is not working out. I will get a cleaning service to do a spring clean, and find out what our regular cleaner has been up to, and find a better cleaning solution. I do apologise and hope you will give us another chance in the future to meet your expectations. I hope you still managed to enjoy your stay at Westend!
