If the host was better the stay would have been great!

Pre-approval harassment for deposit. He hid away the key and only told us 1 hour and 10 minutes later after arriving at the place where we could find the key. We paid for 6 people with 3 bathrooms, but the bathroom was under renovation. We made our booking long ago; this should have been done before our arrival or make sure you don't take guests. Loads of personal items laying around from the host, such as laptops. The pool should not be advertised as a "heated pool".

Could have been better.

This stay would have been very enjoyable, had it not been complicated by receiving a 12-page lease two days before the start of our stay. The lease is one-sided and does not encourage anyone to have a relaxing and care-free weekend. The terms and conditions on the booking page make no mention of this, and I would request a copy of it before making your payment. In terms of the house itself, the basic amenities are available with a lovely lap pool; however, I was a bit disappointed as it was advertised as "heated" but was too cold for swimming. At the time of staying (15/3/24), the en-suite in the kids' bedroom was still under construction and left the room with an unpleasant smell of raw concrete and sealant while sleeping, which was not mentioned to us before the booking or during communication with the owner prior to check-in. I wouldn't recommend this property if you have young kids.

Amazing break away. The Hidden Gem lives up to its name.

It was an impromptu trip and we are happy that we could be accommodated last minute.
