Mermaid Cottages is situated meters from Boknes main beach, lagoon, bird hide, convenience store and fuel station. Nearby attractions include the Dias Cross Heritage Site, Cannon Rocks, Kenton on Sea, Bushman's River Mouth, Port Alfred, Bathurst, Kariega Game Reserve, and Sibuya Game Reserve. Bird Island and the Woody Cape and Alexandria dune fields sections of the Addo Elephant Park Marine Protected Area is a 10 to 25-minute drive away.

Mermaid Cottages comprises 2 private units which can be booked separately or together. Both units are fully equipped for self-catering stays and have their own braai facilities, patios and outdoor dining areas, safe parking, Wi-Fi and are pet-friendly by arrangement.

The Mermaids Cottage is a freestanding house with 2 bedrooms and accommodates 8 guests. It has a choice of indoor and outdoor braai facilities, as well as a fireplace, 1 bathroom fitted with a bath, a shower, a toilet and a wash basin, and an outdoor beach shower with warm and cold water. The first bedroom is furnished with a double bed and the second bedroom is furnished with a double bed as well as a bunk bed. Further sleeping arrangements include a double sofa bed located in the living area and 2 inflatable mattresses.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, a freezer, a microwave, a stove & oven and a washing machine. The living room has a fireplace and a Smart TV with Netflix. The indoor braai room is fitted with a grill, utensils and seating. The property has a patio furnished with outdoor dining facilities and is equipped with a Weber braai.

Seahorse Cottage can accommodate 3 guests and comes equipped with a ¾ bed, single bed and double sofa bed. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and washbasin. Other in-room facilities include a kitchenette fitted with a fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, and small oven. Crockery, cutlery, and kitchen utensils are provided along with tea and coffee-making facilities. The patio doors open up to a roofed outdoor space and braai area.

On-site facilities include free Wi-Fi. The roofed braai area has a grill and utensils. A gas braai is also available. Secure parking is available under a roofed carport, with space for 2 cars. Each unit has access to an outdoor shower with hot & cold water in the backyard.
