Description
Serenity Du Bois Lodge is a delightful thatched Lodge with comfortable accommodation. It is situated in a 3000 ha Reserve, Marloth Park, adjoining the Kruger National Park on the southern border - the Crocodile River. 15 minutes drive from the Crocodile Bridge Entrance Gate there is easy access to the Kruger National Park, although the Reserve itself is home to a wide variety of game and you can enjoy the sight of many of these roaming around the Lodge.
The Lodge can accommodate 14 persons. There are 6 en-suite air-conditioned rooms, 5 of which have patios. The Lodge functions as a self-catering facility with a large communal kitchen which is fully equipped. Should you not want to cater for yourself, you can enjoy a pub lunch or a meal at one of the Reserve’s Restaurants. Alternatively, enjoy a braai around the fire at night while listening to the sounds of the bush - a lion’s roar, hyena's call and the grunting of the hippo in the river.
A splash pool provides refreshing relief during the warmer summer months. Game drives, night drives, golf nearby and a birdwatchers paradise. Close enough to Swaziland, Mozambique and the Panorama for day trips. Airport and hotel transfers are available to and from the Lodge.
Guests can also walk along the Crocodile River and view game in the Kruger Park - it is quite safe as there is a fence stopping the game from crossing between Kruger Park and Marloth Park.
Located 4 to 4½ hour drive from Johannesburg / Pretoria on the N12 / N4 towards the Kruger National Park. Daily flights are also available from Johannesburg to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and transfers are available to the Lodge.
