Star Dam Lodges
Description
This is the smallest lodge in the Star Dam Estate portfolio. On either side of the main living area, you will find 2 en-suite bedrooms, one with a king-size bed, and the other bedroom a dorm-style room with 4 single beds. The lodge offers a spacious and well-equipped open-plan kitchen, dining room and lounge with a large fireplace. Each bathroom has a shower, underfloor heating and heated towel rails. A wooden deck runs the full length of the house with stack-away doors that fold away to reveal panoramic views of the dam. There is no Wi-Fi or TV at Ingleford Lodge, but there is a Weber braai for guests` enjoyment. Please bring your own charcoal and firelighters. Braaiing is strictly prohibited on the wooden deck. Ingleford Lodge offers guests the convenience of a Nespresso machine, but please remember to bring your own pods. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and contains a gas stove, oven, fridge-freezer, and cutlery and crockery.

Please note that there is a gravel road leading to the accommodation. Guests are required to enquire about the condition of the gravel road before travelling. The last few kilometres leading up to the estate gate and the drive from the estate gate to the lodge is on a rather bumpy dirt road, not suitable for city cars. Guests do not need a 4x4 to access the lodge but definitely recommend a raised vehicle rather than a sports car.
Waterford Lodge is the only lodge that has a private swimming pool.

Description
One of the first things you’ll notice when stepping inside Safire Lodge are the generous proportions and seamless indoor-outdoor flow, allowing guests to admire the views from every room. The lodge can accommodate up to 8 guests and comprises 4 stylishly appointed en-suite bedrooms, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. The main and second bedroom each contains a king-size bed, while the third and fourth bedrooms each contain 2 single beds. All the en-suites are fitted with showers, toilets and basins. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and contains a gas stove, oven, fridge-freezer, and cutlery and crockery. There is also a breakfast bar with stools. The dining area has seating space for 8 people, while the lounge has a comfy couch, fireplace, and wall-mounted flat-screen TV with a selection of DStv channels. Free Wi-Fi access is also provided. The lodge opens up onto an expansive wooden deck with an outdoor umbrella. Safire Lodge has a Nespresso machine, remember to please bring your own pods.

Inkanyezi Lodge is spacious and offers beautiful Midlands views. The lodge sleeps 10 adults and 2 children and comprises 5 tasteful and decorated bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen, and a living area. The 2 main bedrooms each have extra-large king-size beds that overlook the dam and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The third and fourth bedrooms each contain 2 three-quarter beds and an en-suite bathroom, one fitted with a shower and bath and the other fitted with only a shower. The fifth bedroom has a double and single bunk bed ideal for children. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a gas stove, oven, fridge-freezer, coffee machine, cutlery and crockery and a counter with chairs. The dining area seats 10 guests and the lounge has a comfortable couch, fireplace and a flat-screen TV with DStv against the wall. Free Wi-Fi is provided. The lodge offers access to a large wooden deck with an umbrella and an outdoor lounge set. A small fishing boat is also available for rental.

Ukuthula Lodge is spacious and elegantly furnished to accommodate 12 guests, in 5 bedrooms, 3 of which are en-suite bedrooms downstairs and 2 loft rooms upstairs with a shared bathroom downstairs. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and has a bath and walk-in shower in the en-suite bathroom. The second and third bedrooms are furnished with a king-size bed and a double bed, and the en-suite bathrooms are fitted with walk-in showers. The fourth bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and 1 single bed and the fifth bedroom has 3 single beds. Both lofts walk out onto balconies, with great views. The open-plan kitchen, dining and living area allows for a great social environment. The front kitchen is equipped for your self-catering needs, with a 5-plate gas range cooker, prep basin, and seating at the prep island. The back kitchen has a large fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and ample storage space. The dining room space has a 10–12-seater table and a fireplace. The lodge has a flat-screen TV with the hospitality DStv package. No Wi-Fi or streaming services are available. The outside patio has an 8-seater table, a portable braai a well as an open-area firepit.
