Ligging is mooi. Kamer is skoon.

Whole family enjoyed the stay, will go back.

Awesome time at Woodlands.

Not pleasant at all, thank goodness I did not book for the whole weekend.

Terrible! The staff didn't know where the cottage was. The place was dusty and unkempt. The linen was not changed from the previous occupants. It was smelly, it felt dirty and clammy. Load shedding was a disaster, no fans, no backup lights. When complaining, I was given two tiny aluminium type candles, unable to shower or freshen up. No cutlery or crockery in the cabin. Strange items floating in the kettle. The bar area was also very dusty and untidy.

Fun time, nice place to stay.

Good location. Stayed for 2 nights, near the centre. The fridge was a bit of a problem.

Mooi plek, baie skoon en netjies met alles wat nodig is. Die bestuurder en personeel is vriendelik en gretig om te help.

Fantastically situated, everything you need is there. Spacious, clean rooms. Very friendly service! Perfect overnight spot when on a roadtrip.

We stayed over on our way back to Cape Town. Woodlands was easy to find, very friendly service and clean and spacious facilities. The gas hob and loadshedding lights ensured that despite loadshedding we could cook dinner and have a good stay.

I was attending a church meeting.

It was cold, maybe an electric blanket can help.

Restaurant en kroeg op terrein, staproetes, riviere naby, groen natuurlik, boomryk, warm water.

Dit was uiters swak. Vuil, gaan warm water. Badkamer was verskriklik vuil.

Dit was die waakste, vuilste stinkende akkommodasie ooit. Vir die geld was dit 'n uiters teleurstelling. Daar was 'n dooie rot wat al gebruik het, vadoeke was vuil en het gestink. Geen gordyne en geen spieël. Geen warm water en toilet het gelei. Dit was 'n nagmerrie.

Nie aangenaam nie.

Vuil stort in kamer, stoepplaveisel vol onkruid. Restaurant op perseel se gaste baie raserig tot laat. Geen noodlig vir beurtkrag in kamer. Vrieskas en yskas in gemeenskaplike kombuis jare laas skoongemaak.

Ontspannend.

Ek sal Woodlands vir enige iemand aanbeveel wat diere het en kinders. Dit is baie veilig. Soos Matthew se muur in restaurant sê 'come as a guest leave as a friend' en dit is so, jy voel baie tuis en die mense is baie vriendelik. Ons het baie lekker daar gekuier.

Thought the bathrooms could have had more attention. Everything else, brilliant.

Gemaklik en onvergeetlik. Kampgeriewe is heel voldoende.

Mathew is baie gaaf en het gereeld kom inloer om te verseker dat ons gemaklik is en alles het wat ons benodig. Ek sal beslis weer daar gaan kamp.

Perfect paradise.

A very comfortable and well-equipped secluded cabin above the Bushmans River. The birdlife was outstanding. A wonderful place I have visited often and will visit again.

We enjoyed every moment at Woodlands Cottage and Camping.

The scenery was perfect, the rooms and kitchen, bathrooms, lounge was all very neat and clean. We would definitely come for another stay at Woodlands Cottages. We wanted to rebook for December, but unfortunately the cottages were all booked up already. Thank you very much for the entertainment, pool table, table tennis, pool, as well as the pub where there was a live band and we were well entertained. I would highly recommend you to any other person looking for accommodation.

A fun stay with lots to do.

We were changed from our accommodation to another room with a consultation. We were comfortable with our basic needs covered. A lovely character full pub restaurant. Friendly host. An enjoyable stay including our dog. Amazing Eastern Cape bush and birds. Thanks.

Great stay.

The manager Matthew is a kind-hearted and an extremely great person. We really enjoyed our stay.

What you see online is definitely not what you get.

All the rooms were disgustingly dirty and not clean at all. The garden all overgrown and the pool area disgusting. The Goat Shed Restaurant is a rip off.

We had an awesome stay.

The place is situated in a very nice and quiet place. It was a very nice hideout.

We enjoyed our time together.

We are coming back. It's very nice place to get a little more time to spend.

Very pleasant, its setting is an unexpected gem of natural beauty.

Welcomed by the manager who took care to explain points of interest. His appreciation for the establishment was infectious. There is also consideration for the guests built into the layout of cottages and environment. A delight.

Baie mooi plek, sal volgende keer die houthuisie bespreek. Aangename mense en baie veilige plek.

Dit is die mees mooiste stukkie hemel met die mooiste tuine en cottages, skoon en netjies.

Staf het ons vriendelik en met ope arms ontvang.

Huislike omgewing en genoeg om te doen en sien.

Goedkoop. Nie grênd nie.

Unfortunate visit out of peak season.

The lodge is beautiful and offers many activities - it was just very unfortunate that our visit was out of peak season so activities couldn't be arranged, despite them actively being advertised by the lodge on social media.

Rustige wegbreek in die natuur.

Dankie Gail vir die puik diens. 'n Regte juweel. Maklik om te bereik en het al die nodige geriewe. Net 'n jammer dit was net vir 1 aand. Sal definitief weer besoek en langer bly om gebruik te maak van die rivier.

Dit is 'n lekker plek, maar daar is nie diens nie, behalwe by eet- en drinkplek.

Die verblyf is goed, behalwe dat daar is 'n waterprobleem is as jy stort. Die speletjieskamer bestaan nie meer nie, so daar is nie veel te doen nie.

Vriendelike omgewing. Baie dankie.

We were so pleasantly surprised with our beautiful little cottage hideaway. It was even serviced daily.

Baie geld vir verskriklike basiese geriewe. Veldskool-tipe verblyf.

Alles was so stowwerig en buitebad en tafel en stoeltjies was nie eens skoon gewees nie.

Friendly service, secure and private. No short comings found.

Perfect, owner well respected by community as we visit shops in surrounding area, noting we were only visiting for the weekend. Have already recommended cottage to friends and working colleagues.

Die plek was sprokies tussen die woude met lekker lewens positiewe aktiwiteite. Dit was baie lekker.

Bad condition.

We stayed in a very unpleasant little cottage, which was not very clean. The bathroom was a total disaster, with no hot water. The whole appearance of the cottage was tatty. It was obvious that very little maintenance has been carried out over the years.

Dit was lekker gewees.

Ons het lekker gekuier by woodlands. Net op die netheid dat wanneer daar skoon gemaak word, soos leë sjampoobottels, en ander goed wat die vorige kliënte gelos het opgeruim word. Verder was alles netjies gewees.

Nothing fancy, but comfortable enough.

The setting is lovely, high up on the hill above the Bushman's river. The overall feel is maybe a little run down, beautiful place with a large amount of potential. As we were the only guests at the backpackers, we did not try the restaurant, but had some drinks at the bar - great gin selection. Overall, was a pleasant stop - room was clean, no real atmosphere (but this is not really the backpacker's fault) and nothing super fancy.

Plek was skoon. Ons versoek vir enkelbed-beddegoed is gemaklik hanteer. Honde en katte spring op jou bank, kaste of beddens. Ek sal nie sommer teruggaan nie.

Dit is goed vir padvinders en skooltoere.

Die eienaar was nie daar nie. Die akkommodasie het nie gelyk soos op die webwerf nie. Die warmwaterstort stop kort-kort terwyl mens stort. Ongemaklike toilet met boekrak op jou borskas. Die tweeplaatstoof werk nie.

Ons verblyf was uitstekend. Dit is baie rustig en baie beskut teen die wind.

Ons het die verblyf by Woodlands baie geniet. Ons het 'n gesellige vuur gemaak en ook gebraai. Die ontvangs was baie vriendelik en ons het baie tuis gevoel.

Ons was werklik ontvang met vriendelike behulpsame mense. Ons keer graag terug. Die kos was uit die boonste rakke. Waarde vir geld.
