Go on an adrenaline-filled adventure! Try something new and see the world from far above the treetops on one of the glorious ziplines our country has to offer.

We have great venues where you can zipline in different parts of South Africa. One of these is at Piekenierskloof Mountain Lodge where TravelGround.com was invited to try the recently restored #ZiplineKloof.

#ZiplineKloof at Piekenierskloof

Piekenierskloof Mountain Lodge, sheltered by the Cederberg Mountains, offers a scenic getaway with loads of activities for young and old, and especially for the wild at heart.

The original zipline platforms were destroyed in a veldfire, but they have since been restored to their former glory. We were invited to try out the first three completed platforms. Another four platforms stretching further into the valley, should be back in action by August 2016.

A delectable tea and beer experience

As part of our adventure we were treated to a Darling Brew and Carmien Tea tasting, paired with the best the Piekenierskloof Mountain Lodge chefs have on offer.

Guests at Piekenierskloof can also book a beer, tea and food pairing on request. The food pairing we enjoyed is also available. Please enquire when you book your stay.

Loads of fun for the whole family

The Piekenierskloof Mountain Resort is nestled in the mountains at the top of the Piekenierskloof Pass near Citrusdal on the N7 and is part of the West Coast Way Berg Route, a new self-drive sightseeing and tourism route which encompasses some of the most beautiful and interesting outlying towns and locations on the Cape West Coast and surrounding inland areas.

Aside from the newly refurbished #ZiplineKloof, there are a number of activities available at the lodge. This includes two swimming pools! One outside where you can enjoy the breathtaking view and another heated pool indoors, which means you can enjoy a dip throughout the year. They also offer target shooting with pellet guns, a massive outdoor chess board, trampolines and walking trails.

Make sure to book if you would like to partake in any of the lodge’s activities. The zipline must be booked at least one day in advance. Every guest will receive a pre-scheduled time slot. To book your spot, call Natasha at 022 921 3574.

Stay in style

Remember to book your stay at Piekenierskloof Mountain Resort and make a proper holiday of your zipline experience!
