House Rules
Please contact hosts at least a week ahead for bookings to the Kruger National Park, half-day morning or evening trips to a private Big Five reserve. The Panorama Route with a guide can be arranged as well as treatments at the spa.
There is no reception available, a representative will meet guests at the respective camp in which they have booked.
Once guests arrive at the gate please be advised that it is connected to MTN and opened via a cellphone, please press once, wait for dialling and answer. This is a timed service of 30 seconds.
Guests are advised to provide their full name as the gate will not be opened for any reason due to security.
The "Reception Cell" is run from 07:30 to 22:00 after which the mobile reception is closed as is the main lodge area.
Due to a small staff complement late check-ins are prohibited.
There is no capacity for extra adults, this means anyone over the age of 12 years, in any of the rooms. This is to avoid overcrowding and noise.
Loud music is prohibited, if music is played it must be of lower decibels. After 22:00 noise is not allowed.
Children 5 to 12 are accommodated either on available beds or on a low fold-out bed.
All activities are separately charged and payable at the lodge with the bar bill.
Guests may not bring their own alcohol onto the property when staying at the Shikwari Suites.
Guests staying at Pangolin Rondavel may consume their own alcohol at the camp, however, may not bring it up to the lodge.
Guests are requested to bring their own tableware and braai tool, swimming towels, and emergency lights for possible power cuts due to storms or load shedding.
Please treat the rooms and items therein with care.
Toiletries, teas and coffees, towels, gowns, and slippers are only for use while at the property please refrain from removing these items.
Littering is prohibited.
Collecting wood for braais is forbidden, due to this being a reserve.
Please note that there is a gravel road leading into the establishment. Pangolin is 500 m and Shikwari is 1 km on a dirt road. Guests may like to inquire about the condition of the road, before arrival. Usually, a normal sedan can access the main road in the reserve. A 4x4 is not necessary.
