Welcome to Du Bois Lodge - "Our Little Piece of Paradise"
Du Bois Lodge is a delightful thatched Lodge with comfortable accommodation situated in a 3000 HA Reserve (Marloth Park) adjoining the Kruger National Park (KNP) on the southern border (Crocodile River). 15 minutes drive from the Crocodile Bridge Entrance Gate there is easy access to the KNP although the Reserve itself is home to a wide variety of game and you can enjoy the sight of many of these roaming around the Lodge!
The Lodge can accommodate 10 persons. There are 5 en-suite air-conditioned rooms, 4 of which have patios.
The Lodge functions as a self-catering facility with a communal kitchen which is fully equipped. Should you not want to cater for yourself, you can enjoy a pub lunch or a meal at one of the Reserve’s Restaurants! Otherwise enjoy a braai around the fire at night while listening to the sounds of the bush – a lion’s roar or hyena call & the grunting of hippo in the river!
A splash pool provides refreshing relief during the warmer summer months!
Game drives, night drives, golf nearby & a birdwatchers paradise! Close enough to Swaziland, Mozambique & the Panorama for day trips! Airport & hotel transfers are available to & from the Lodge.
The KNP can be entered from Crocodile Bridge Gate (approximately 20 km from Lodge) or Malelane Gate (approximately 35 km from Lodge). Guests can also walk along the Crocodile River & view game in the Kruger Park - it is quite safe as there is a fence stopping large game from crossing between Kruger Park & Marloth Park.
A comfortable 4 to 4½ hour drive from Johannesburg / Pretoria on the N12 / N4 towards the KNP. Daily flights are also available from Johannesburg to KMIA (Kruger Mpumalanga Int Airport) (1 hour) – transfers available to the Lodge.
