Our 4 Star graded exclusive lodge run by owners Sue & Ian Lawrie is nestled under the majestic Drakensburg Mountains. In a elegant and relaxed setting. This is an ideal base to explore the Limpopo Province and only an hour to Kruger National Park. The lodge commands wonderful vistas of the Drakensburg Mountains which are home to the Manoutsa Vulture Colony with up to 660 pairs of Cape Vulture. This is the fourth largest colony in the world.
The Main lodge area has a tranquil plunge pool and shady veranda. Watch the sunset turn the Mountains into a rainbow of colour while sipping sundowners. You will be dining on a three course dinner under a dark velvet African sky or in our well appointed candlelit dining room or perhaps we will be have a braai (Barbecue) in our boma or on Sunday evenings a Buffet of South African specialities.
Retire after a wonderful day of sightseeing to one of our four luxurious suites, secluded amongst the bush. Each suite is beautifully decorated and well appointed with a hospitality tray and stocked mini bar. The en-suite bathrooms have large oval baths and outdoor showers. All have beds with percale linen and all rooms have ceiling fans and are air conditioned.We have a turndown service at night and bathrobes & slippers are provided.All suites have a hospitality tray with fresh coffee and plunger, Twinning's teas and rusks. There is also a mini bar that is stocked on request.
Day & Half day Excursions to various places of interest; mostly self drive. Guided walks and drives are offered our resident FGASA guide around our property to learn about our wildlife. We also offer a Big 5 Game Drive to a private reserve where our guide will accompany guests and arrange either a bush breakfast or sundowners.
